Mark Moore

Classical guitarist Mark Moore is a 1995
graduate of the University of Texas' Master of Music Performance program
under the direct guidance of Adam Holzman. His musical training includes
master classes with Pepe Romero, Eliot Fisk, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet,
the Castellani-Andriaccio Duo (Rome) and many more. Undergraduate work
includes a Bachelor of Music, Magna Cum Laude, from Southwest Texas State
University.
An active recitalist and chamber musician, Mark has appeared in concert
with the Texas Music Festival Orchestra, Houston Bronze Ensemble, Nova
Chamber Singers, Mosaic, the US/Mexico Guitar Orchestra and many other
groups. In the Spring of 2000, Mark teamed up with Dr. Raphael Sanders
at Stephen F. Austin State University to give the world premiere of "Entre
dos Mundos - a suite for clarinet and guitar" by the noted New York
composer James Cohn.
Mark currently teaches guitar at Bellaire High School and is an Affiliate
Artist at Houston Baptist University. He taught at San Jacinto College
for six years and has also taught at College of the Mainland and St. Mark
Lutheran Church's Conservatory of Music. A founding member of Houston's
classical guitar society - Guitar Houston - he serves on the Board of
Directors and conducted the Guitar Houston Guitar Orchestra from 1998-2001.
Mark is a native of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
