Lee Wadenpfuhl

Lee Wadenpfuhl is currently a senior horn performance major at the University of Houston Moores School of Music. He has been the Co-Principal Horn of the Moores School Symphony Orchestra for two years, as well as Principal of the Wind Ensemble. Lee also is actively involved as a low hornist in Moores School Opera productions. He also served as Co-Principal of the Texas Music Festival this summer. Lee is currently studying with recording artist and Houston Symphony member Roger Kaza. Other teachers include Houston Symphony members Bruce Henniss and Nancy Goodearl. Lee plays on a handcrafted horn custom made in Germany by Engelbert Schmid.

Lee comes from a very musical family, and is one of 10 horn players in just 3 generations, including two professional players/composers, Ken Wadenpfuhl in Cleveland, and Jay Wadenpfuhl in Boston. Teaching is another Wadenpfuhl family tradition with 4 celebrated band directors.

Lee would like to thank Dr. Blytas for this opportunity to perform, as well as his family, friends, and teachers for their continued support for Lee's education and musicianship.
